MEMBERSHIP CODE OF CONDUCT AND ABRIDGED CONSITUTION


  1. To promote and maintain the highest standards of business practice, and at all times to enhance the reputation of the Forgery Detection Association.
  2. To describe fairly to all persons the scope and use of equipment offered, whether by advertisement, brochure or other means, and to make it clear what is included in the price.
  3. To use very best endeavours to ensure that all equipment offered for sale is safe, and complies with the latest machinery safety regulations currently in place in the country of sale.
  4. To make available accurate information concerning forgery, counterfeiting and allied activities.
  5. To forward to the Association all up to date information to enable the Association to produce and maintain an accurate database.
  6. The Association reserves the right to review membership status, as laid down in the memorandum and articles of association.
  7. The Association will appoint a General Secretary, who will be responsible for the smooth running of the Association. This will be a paid position. The General Secretary will be responsible for appointing administrative help as necessary.
  8. The members will appoint a Managing Council to oversee the business of the Association, and will hold regular management meetings for which due notice will be given in line with the memorandum and articles of association.
  9. The Managing Council will review and approve all expenses and remuneration levels concerned with the Forgery Detection Association as specified in the memorandum and articles of association.
  10. The Managing Council will be re-elected in accordance with the memorandum and articles of association.
  11. The Managing Council will regularly review the membership code of conduct and the constitution. All proposed changes will be carried out as specified in the memorandum and articles of association.
  12. The General Secretary will be responsible for distributing half-yearly information packs for each member, and to circulate financial reports, and other information of interest to members on a regular basis.
  13. The General Secretary will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Association's web site.
